Jiu-Jitsu students be sure to set your alarm clocks. Rage Fight and Fitness will be moving our morning BJJ class to 6:00am as several students have mentioned that an extra 1/2 hour would make it easier for them to get to work on time. Classes now run from 6:00am to 7:00am on Tuesday and Thursday and are taught by BJJ Blackbelt Dave Trader. So far we have had a great turnout and the training has been excellent. We expect these classes will continue to grow. So, if you can make it, come in and start your day off with a great workout.

Monday, March 23rd, 2009Starting Saturday, April 4th, Rage Fight and Fitness will offer Commando Krav Maga Self Defense classes! Commando Krav Maga is a devastating Israeli fighting system – it is the effective, no-nonsense, no-rules, anything goes method of self defense!
The first class is scheduled for, Saturday April 4th, from 11:30-1:00pm. It will be action-packed from start to finish. We will be concentrating on awareness, gun disarms, best kick options for beginners, hand striking options for beginners, and basic, simple, effective self-defense for grabs and chokes. Dress however you want, remember it is a reality-based self-defense class so you will be kicking, punching and even grappling. It will be safe, fun and extremely challenging. It is always recommended to bring groin protection, eye protection, and a mouth piece.
Our plan is to offer self-defense classes two to three times per week based on the interest we receive from this initial class. Help spread the news, bring a friend and/or family member to our Saturday class.

New morning BJJ Classes
Thursday, March 19th, 2009Rage Fight & Fitness has added new early morning classes to the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) schedule. The classes are taught by BJJ Blackbelt Dave Trader every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 6:30AM to 7:30am. With morning, midday and evening BJJ classes on the schedule, there is no longer any excuse to miss training. If you are already a member of the Jiu-jitsu team, come join us for a workout before you head to the office. If you are not a member, feel free to drop in and try out a class.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu team competes at Dominion Grappling Championships

Congratulations to all the members of our Kids’s Jiu-Jistu team who competed in the Dominion Grappling Championships this Saturday in Ashland, VA. Everyone had a great time at their first tournament and all fought well despite facing seasoned competition.
We would also like to thank all those family members, friends, and teammates who came out to support the competitors.

Rage Jiu-jitsu Team goes to GrapplersQuest Beast of the East
Monday, March 9th, 2009Congratulations to Alex Fearnley, Jeremy West, and Bill Nagle who competed in GrapplersQuest Beast of the East tournament in Wildwood, New Jersey this past weekend. Everyone from the team fought well despite competing on short notice. Jeremy placed third in the Men’s Blue Belt SuperFeatherweight division and Alex placed third in the Mens White Belt Welterweight division.
